St Peter’s Rooms, Ely

St Peter’s Rooms are offered as a resource for the whole community. Situated in Ely, the rooms are available for hire to regular bookings and one-off events.

A limited amount of space for car parking is available beside the church building. The Ship Lane and Fore Hill car parks (free of charge) are only a short walk away. The church is also within easy walking distance of Ely Railway Station and the bus stops in Station Road, Broad Street and opposite Tesco.

There are meeting spaces suitable for groups of up to 30 people, a projector, piano, fully equipped kitchen and accessible toilets.

Stuntney Village Hall

Castle Camps Village Hall

The modern and stylish hall at Castle Camps was part-funded by the National Lottery and built in 2001. There is a large hall with a curtained stage at one end and a large kitchen and servery at the other, plus a smaller meeting room with a bar. It is the venue for most village activities and is ideal for wedding receptions, birthday parties and celebrations etc. It is well equipped with a range of lightweight tables and upholstered chairs.

All bookings must have a “designated responsible person” who is over 21 years of age. Teenage parties must be booked by parents.

The premises licensee can oversee a bar if one is needed (when available and to be negotiated separately) otherwise a Temporary Events Notice (TEN) will be required and we have 12 available per year.

No animal based functions allowed (but guide dogs are permitted).

Weston Colville Reading Room

Weston Colville Reading Room is housed in a historic building in the heart of the quiet village in South Cambridgeshire. The modern facilities include a well equipped kitchen, a versatile hall layout with good AV capabilities. There is also ample parking and good wheelchair access and baby changing.

Molesworth Village Hall

Molesworth Village Hall was once a Victorian School, that was part of Molesworth’s history and village life for a long time. Over the years it has been used for different events. In 2020 the village hall underwent a huge refurbishment, with a new roof and fabulous fully fitted kitchen, so that the hall was ready to be hired out to locals and people further afield for their events.

Ely Scout Centre

Ely Scout Centre has a single rectangular room with high level windows and velux roof windows which give plenty of natural light and ventilation. The hall is ideal for interest groups, AGMs, training courses, simple meetings and children’s parties with tables and chairs to seat up to 50 people. It is located next to Ely St John’s park which has a children’s playground. The hall itself benefits from 5G hub wifi (200mbps internet), and we can loan a freestanding data projector and pull-up projection screen if required. There are kitchen facilities with mugs, kettles, cutlery etc, and clean toilet facilities which include baby changing facilities. The entire building is level access with no steps. Facilities are basic but well looked after. We are always fully booked in weekday evenings for Cub & Scout groups etc, but generally available during the day for bookings and all weekends. Our volunteers are positive and helpful and we’re keen to offer our hall to the local community at an accessible price.

Swavesey Memorial Hall

Swavesey Memorial Hall is a registered charity 204145 and is managed by a Board of Trustees who meet approximately every 6 weeks. The Memorial Hall is situated in the centre of the village and has excellent facilities for a variety of events from Club Meetings, Weddings, Fundraisers, Children’s Parties, Fitness Classes, Training Workshops and Business Meetings. We have a large car park with disabled parking and access to the Hall.
