The venue is suitable for recreational classes and courses, corporate and fundraising events or functions, private and children&#8217;s parties large and small. Conveniently located at the heart of the village of Oakington, close to the A14, and bus and guided bus routes; the attractive airy modern facilities comprise a large community hall, an additional separate meeting/function room which is an excellent space for meetings and training sessions, a well-equipped kitchen and car park. There is level access throughout, with accessible toilet and hearing loop, plus fast free wi-fi, ensuring that all can enjoy the facilities.</p>
<p>Behind the Pavilion is a new 3G surface LED floodlit pitch (2024); open Monday to Sunday 9:30am to 9:30pm.</p>

It can accommodate up to about 50 people (seated) or 80 (standing) and has full kitchen facilities and toilets, as well as PRS &amp; PPL Licences for the public performance of music and dance. The hall is fully equipped with a 76&#8243; interactive television. The Hall is available for use by all for clubs, crafting, parties, meetings etc. The Hall is an ideal venue for children’s or family parties as well as meetings, receptions etc. It is in a very quiet location. There is a children’s play area to the rear of the Village Hall, with play equipment for various age groups, as well as a general grassed area for use for sports, barbecues etc. There is a small car park to the front of the hall.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Opened in August 2020, Duxford Community Centre is an exceptional, fully accessible, multi-functional local venue catering for a range of community groups, events and functions. We are situated ony 5 minutes from J10 of the M11. Our building is next to the excellent Duxford village children&#8217;s playground, which can be seen from our cafe.</p>
<p>Our facilities, available for one off or regular bookings, offer a large hall with the capacity to seat 150, a smaller hall to seat 65, and a meeting room for up to 20. The two halls can combine to make one large area. We also have space in our foyer for hiring up to 3 tables for sale of goods, such as craft items.</p>
<p>We have large 10 seater tables for big events, such as weddings, and smaller tables for other events. We have a demountable stage and in the large hall have gantry mounted stage lighting. A community kitchen supports our rooms for hire for any small scale self-catering and there is a great cafe on site, Café 19, run as a separate business, that can handle any catering from meetings to weddings and wakes. We have an arrangement with a local publican who runs any staffed bar as required, but we are also fully licenced for self-catered bars.</p>
<p>We also have excellent sports changing facilities, including a referee’s room that doubles as a treatment room.</p>
<p>Both our meeting room and small hall have excellent plug in and play audio visual screens, and we have a projector and screen for our large hall.</p>

Having undergone some restoration and updating, it is comprised of the main hall with air conditioning, bar, a well equipped kitchen, toilets for male, female and easy access with baby changing facilities. There is a small stage and media screen. Access is by a walkway from the pavement and is all on one level. Limited roadside parking is available. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Grantchester Village Hall stands behind the thatched Reading Room at the junction of Grantchester High Street and Vicarage Drive. The main hall is suitable for meetings and gatherings of up to 120 people and has a stage, kitchen, toilets and both internal and external storage areas. The Village Hall is typically used by any members of the public for large meetings, presentations, and receptions e.g. art exhibitions, yoga classes, plays etc. It is a minute’s walk from three pubs, all of which serve meals and two minutes from the beautiful Grantchester Meadows. The Orchard Tea Rooms and Blue Ball also serve food and are less than five minutes’ walk.</p>
<p>The main hall has a powerful sound system comprising four speakers, a subwoofer, amplifier, sound mixer with 8 physical inputs, wireless microphone and an audio loop for hearing aids. You can also use the wi-fi to stream music through the sound system. The Reading Room also has a projector and screen for meetings and presentations.</p>
<p>The kitchen contains an oven with hob, a fridge, a double sink, a small microwave and worktops. There are a number of fitted cupboards containing 100 sets of plates, bowls, side plates, cups and saucers. There are a few knives for cutting cakes and teaspoons but no other cutlery. There is a kettle on the worktop.</p>
<p>There are some folding tables beside the stage, below the speaker. The large tables and 100 chairs are in the storage cupboard.</p>
